As you may have heard me say previously, I’m planning a return to the world of AUTUMN next year with two new novels. My aim is that one, if not both of them will be released around October 2020 – the 10 year anniversary of the mass-market release of the first book through St Martin’s Press. There’s a lot of work to be done yet, though, so don’t hold me to that release date. You know how reliable I am with deadlines…
In readiness for the new books I’m planning a number of initiatives to raise the profile of the original novels again, and the first part of that project is now complete. Last week saw the Infected Books re-release of the German language editions of the novels, originally published by Michael Krug of Otherworldverlag. Here are the new editions. I’m very happy with how they’ve turned out.
The books are available now in print and as ebooks from Amazon.de. As you can see, the entire original series is also available as a single German-language ebook for the first time. Huge thanks to Michael Krug for helping me make this happen, and for Craig Paton who allowed me to use some of his original Amy Steadman AUTUMN artwork for the covers.
More AUTUMN-related news coming soon.
HERBST: AUSKLANG – the German-language edition of AUTUMN: AFTERMATH is now available from MKrug Verlag. Ebook versions will follow shortly. The Herbst books were my first foreign language deal, agreed way back in the early days of Infected Books, and they’ve been a real success. The first release of DISINTEGRATION (HERBST: ZERFALL) anywhere in the world was in German but, for various reasons, this final release was delayed. It’s great to see the series coming to a conclusion at last, and I hope folks enjoy the book.
Available from Amazon.de.
Don’t get too excited – I don’t have any new titles to announce yet, just a few new editions of older books.
On 10th October, Gollancz will release the mass market UK edition of AUTUMN: AFTERMATH, details of which are here. And on the same day, they’ll also be releasing THE COMPLETE AUTUMN – a collection of the five AUTUMN novels in a single ebook package, great value if you’ve not yet picked up the series.
By the way, I’m still working on the limited edition AFTERMATH hardcover due from Infected Books in collaboration with Gollancz and I should have some news for you shortly. Apologies for the ongoing delay. More information about that project can be found here.
On 15 October, a little later than originally planned, MKrug Verlag will release HERBST: AUSKLANG – the German translation of AFTERMATH. It’s been a long wait for German readers, so I’m really pleased the book will soon be out.
And then in December, I’m very excited to announce that Delos will publish AUTUMN in Italian as AUTUMN, L’ATTACO DEI MORTE VIVENTI (which translates to Autumn, Attack of the Living Dead). More details and cover art etc. as I get them.
