Plans for Autumn

Last week saw the 10th anniversary of AUTUMN: THE HUMAN CONDITION, a collection that brought together around forty AUTUMN short stories.

I wrote this month's 12STORIES story about a crazed fan-related incident. Most people got the joke, but not everyone. I'm sorry!

I'm sorry. I couldn't get a story written in time for June. I promised to post something every single month this year. I owe you an apology.

The inspiration for this story goes way back. Doesn't matter how important you think you are, you won't get anywhere on your own.

When I was a kid, I got beat up. My teenage hammering, coupled with a recent read of Sun Tzu's THE ART OF WAR, inspired this month's story.
